Job description
Watertrek is a French and British foundation with two headquarters: one in Paris and another in London. The association uses an original tool, the Stand-Up Paddle, to raise people’s awareness on environmental issues in aquatic ecosystems all over the world.
Watertrek is looking for a scientist/environmentalist, who can take on responsibilities and work independently. The company is seeking to recruit a young and energetic individual. He/she will oversee the creation of scientific content, and will disseminate this content, but will also create activities about our environmental topics.
Duties and responsibilities:
Prepare educational and environmental sheets
Create educational activities around our environmental topics
Ensure new partnerships with scientific organisations
Manage the day-to-day environmental operations for several events and expeditions
Internship duration:
From 3 to 6 months

Salary:
Watertrek is a young developing association. Therefore, interns will not receive paid services, but working hours can be adapted to personal schedule.
Desired profile
Prerequisite:
Fluency in English, French is advantageous
Environmental background
Good knowledge in specific aquatic environmental topics (training available)
Excellent writing skills
Ability to summarize information concisely and clearly
Curious, flexible, critical thinking
Must be able to work alone using the Watertrek charter
Previous experience in associative field appreciated
Traveler or water sports lover is a plus
Education requirements:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in scientific and environmental/oceanographical field
Languages:
English (and French)
