Editorial Assistant
Internship Greater London Journalism / PR
Job description
Warpaint Magazine, the original UK magazine for the professional MUA, has relaunched in a new digital format. As part of the Professional Beauty Group, Warpaint champions the work of internationally-acclaimed MUAs as well as the latest in cosmetic launches and new collections. Covering every aspect of a make-up artist’s brief, Warpaint ventures behind the scenes of blockbuster films, TV productions, editorial shoots and major events to get the MUA’s own story. Featuring body art, prosthetics, wig work and SFX as well as high fashion, catwalk, editorial and beauty, Warpaint brings to both pro MUAs and aspiring students the sense of community and recognition of the incredible work our leading artists achieve. Taking the form of a blog-zine, Warpaint will break new launches as well as update subscribers via new weekly newsletters.
Warpaint also organises expansive seminars featuring top MUAs and hosts make-up competitions at all the Professional Beauty Shows in Manchester, Dublin and London.
We are looking for bright, intelligent interns who can demonstrate strong writing ability, can deliver sharp copy and be able to research quickly and effectively. Ideally they should also have a thorough understanding of social media platforms - in particular, Wordpress, FaceBook, Twitter and Pinterest and a love of make-up would also be an asset.
Internships are for 3 months.
