Job description

Aerospace Sales Manager required to establish a new division across the EMEA market for a Dynamic & Acquisitive US & European Manufacturing Group.

SALARY: £55,000 - £60,000

BENEFITS: Car or Cash Allowance + Comprehensive Group Benefits + 25 days Holidays plus Stats

LOCATION – Home based within commutable distance to an airport as the role requires extensive travel to customer and other group sites globally, more specifically across the EMEA region.

We are an acquisitive global manufacturing group and a world leader in the design and manufacture of high quality instrumentation, hardware/software tools and consumables to the Aerospace, power, electrical, environmental monitoring & measurement, and telecommunications markets.

As part of the Group’s global growth strategy and following the development of an innovative aerospace product, our goal is to build a market leading Aerospace precision tooling business. In this role you will be working closely with the US Aerospace Division and be responsible for identifying and developing the EMEA Aerospace business. Other development sectors could also include Automotive, Marine and Rail

REQUIREMENTS - Aerospace Sales Manager

We are interested in receiving applications from individuals with the following experience and qualifications:

* A technical or business related degree i.e. (BSc / BEng) in a science or engineering discipline.
* Sales and business development success gained within the Aerospace channel ( Major OEM’s, Tier 1 & Tier 2) We will also consider candidates with Major Automotive, Rail or Marine knowledge.
* The ability to Identify, develop and grow the EMEA market with new products introduction and gain specification sales with the major Aerospace OEMs and suppliers.
* A second European language would be of major benefit (especially French or German) but not a pre-requisite.

As an indicator, it is highly likely you will be or have worked in any of the following roles and markets (but not exclusively):

* Technical Sales Manager, EMEA Business Manager, Product Development Manager (NPD), Business Development Manager, Export Sales Manager, Market Development Manager or International Sales Manager Within Aerospace, Rail, Marine, Automotive, Precision Tools, Tooling, Cable Management or allied industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Aerospace Sales Manager

This position is primarily responsible for the development and management of key strategic accounts (Major OEMs, Tier 1 & 2) and Key Distributors within the Aerospace channel across the EMEA.

You will be responsible for:
* The development and execution of account specific programmes within this channel
* Working with the Aerospace team in the USA in the area of product development and sales deployment strategies.
* Identify, relate and work with key engineering contacts within major Aerospace accounts.
* Manage and support key distributors
* Identifying applications for Aerospace products and capabilities as solutions to customer’s requirements.
* Identifying and delivering new product propositions to market through our product development roadmap/ stage gate process.
* Researching and articulating market trends/needs with particular focus on understanding the end user and competition in our defined industry sectors and highlighting future potential and market propositions
