C++ / Apex / Scrum Developer - Stock Loan & Repo

Financial Services client based in London:

The role is for a candidate with solid C++ experience who will be able to absorb a complex business domain in a short time, working on an exciting new development project.

The ideal candidate is a presentable, enthusiastic and self motivated developer, with a very strong and in-depth working knowledge of C++ and Java gained in a Financial institution environment. They would have an interest and understanding of the workings of Financial institutions, particularly in the Financing arena (Treasury) for Stock Loan and Repo.

Knowledge/Experience:

Substantial immediately previous development role with either a financial institution (retail bank, investment bank, insurance, etc) or a software company.
Proven experience at an investment bank / software company in the following areas:
(in ascending order of preference) Stock Lending, Repo Treasury, Fixed Income, Equities

Essential :

Extensive C++ experience
Experience with RDBMSs
Scrum methodology
Unit Testing
Preferred :
Proven VC++ (Visual C++) experience
Java
JDBC, JMS, JNDI
XML, XSD

Web Services

JBoss, Web Logic app servers
Apex / Martini experience
Oracle database
Understanding of 3-tier architecture
Understanding of messaging services (e.g. TIBCO RV, TIBCO EMS, IBM MQ)
Unix (preferably Red Hat Linux)
Test Driven Development
Beneficial :
Understanding of Financial Markets/Investment Banking
Proven experience of development within a large system in a team environment
Good working knowledge of RogueWave tools
Understanding of the entire development lifecycle
UML / OO Design
SQL, PL/SQL
Accurate with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of SWIFT and/or FIX messaging
