Display Planner / Space Planner (Planograms) - Retail

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Space Planner / Display Planner to join our busy Post Office Retail team based in Normanton.

Reporting to the Trading Manager, the principal objective of this position is to develop ranges and create planograms for all retail categories in Post Office Ltd Crown branches.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering ranges that support the financial objectives of the Post OfficeLtd including sales, margin and supplier income
• Producing visually high impact planograms that drive sales, margin and profitability for all retail categories
• Producing and managing branch floor plans for 320 Crown Post Office branches to provide live, accurate data to aide range allocation decisions
• Analysis of data (margin, rate of sale analysis etc.) to ensure optimum range construction and ongoing improvement of the customer offer, ensuring the right product in the right stores all of the time
• Creating planograms in-house using JDA Space Planning software
• Liaise with channel manager regarding workload planning in store
• Sales analysis/trend reporting to support buying decisions
• Keep up to date on competitor ranges and display techniques
• Responding to store queries regarding planograms and ranging

Requirements for the Role:

• Ideally you will have relevant work experience in a display planning/ space planning role. Graduates will also be considered with relevant work experience in retail management, merchandising or supply chain
• Sound working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables/V-Look Ups) and an ability to interpret detailed reports
• Ideally you will have experience of using JDA Space Planning modules or similar software
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong commercial skills and market interpretation
• Excellent organisation and planning skills
• Engaging, influencing and negotiation skills
