Position Description

As Senior Vice President Europe & Brazil Manufacturing (E&BM) you will have global responsibility for the performance and development of the Europe & Brazil Manufacturing. You will report to the EVP of Group Trucks Operations, Volvo Group.

Mission

As a SVP E&BM you will be responsible for the production of all the trucks brands in the region.
To operate all cab and vehicle assembly plants in the region in order to deliver the end product in time, at the right quality and at the lowest possible cost.

In SVP Position you will actively participate in the management team of Group Truck Operations.
The SVP will create the interface between the commercial and the industrial activities. The position holder will support the plants in their role in society and create opportunities to utilize and develop partnerships within the region. Another overall business related responsibility is to actively pursue, identify and stimulate new business development opportunities within the region.

Main activities and responsibilities:
·  Deliver the agreed and committed overall objectives for your operation
·  To continuously seek the optimization of the industrial footprint for the region in co-operation with other AB Volvo organizations
·  Drive and challenge the management team, and develop motivation, knowledge and teamwork in the entire organization
·  Ensure that each part of the organization is motivated to achieve, clearly formulated and agreed plans which are aligned with Group Trucks Operations total business plan and strategy.
·  To continually inspire, develop and motivate the employees, being a champion and a cultural bearer of the Volvo Group Values and principles
·  Communication by webcasts, town-hall meetings, leadership programs, secure talent management and solid succession pipeline. etc
·  Drive the continuous improvement work within your organization together with the rest of the Group Trucks Operations
·  Act in close co-operation with other AB Volvo organizations globally to efficiently develop and deliver services and products with the right Quality, Delivery time and Cost within agreed budget
·  Participate in meetings, also in Boards, Councils, Committees and Networks upon request of the Executive Vice President, Group Trucks Operations Critical competencies for the position

With a real talent for cultural integration and business analyses the SVP E&BM hold a University/ Masters Degree or equivalent and is able to demonstrate successful international and multi-cultural business experience. As SVP you need to have extensive experience of senior line management within a production environment.

In a group that values quality, safety, environment, diversity and respect for the individual, the SVP is above all an effective business leader. The position holder understands the complete chain of the business and is familiar with modern managing principles and techniques within a global matrix organisation. This includes good understanding of the commercial vehicle industry and business analyses, as well as a broad knowledge of global manufacturing.

Demonstrating a high and solid level in each of the Volvo Group Leadership competencies for the leading business level, the SVP Position will be inspiring and an inclusive leadership as well as an active team worker.

As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
