Job Summary and Purpose

This position is responsible for the leadership of the Service Department. It includes leading, developing and maintaining systems for quality controls. Accountable for the financial achievement of service department revenue and profitability. Must be able to maintain good working relationships and open lines of communication between Service employees, internal and external departments, customers and vendors.

 

This position is a part of the service department and reports to the Operations Manager.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities, but not limited to

·  Overall operation and management of Service Department employees thru integrity, teamwork, customer responsiveness, and profitable decision making
·  Assure diagnosis and scheduled repair work are completed accurately and in a timely manner
·  Timely follow-up of customer all calls, including concerns and complaints
·  Oversee all work orders for accuracy in billing pricing information
·  Oversee department safety initiative, and certify safety procedures are followed
·  Accountable for financial for the profitability of department
·  Ensure all personnel are adequately trained for their positions, provided a clean, safe work environment and have the tools to complete their jobs successfully
·  Review branch performance with the Operations Manager on a weekly/monthly basis
·  Responsible for all tools and equipment in shop and yard
·  Accountable for service fleet, including maintenance and mitigation against damage, theft or misuse
·  Responsible for enforcement and training of DOT, MSHA, Cal/OSHA, FLSA and other applicable regulations requirements
·  Accountable for all compliance and policies and procedures requirements
·  Responsible for DOT compliance
·  Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Knowledge and Experience

·  Five to Six years of experience in service or related field
·  Three to Four years of management experience, highly recommended
·  High School diploma or GED – Some college experience preferred
·  Prior experience in the construction industry, highly preferred
·  Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations

 

Additional Important Requirements

·  Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft products
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·  Focused problem solving and troubleshooting skills
·  Some local travel required

Salary and Benefits Statement

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base salary range is set at $111,095.00-$137,235.00, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
