As part of our Sheet Metal Purchasing team, you won’t just negotiate contracts—you will influence how the industry evolves. We are looking for a     Senior Project & Commodity Buyer   to drive real impact across cost, project excellence, quality, and CO₂ performance.
 
 
 
As a Senior Project & Commodity Buyer, you will:
 
·  
Be at the forefront of supplier selection, business awards, and long-term partnerships.
 
·  
Drive cost optimization initiatives and support our strong CO₂ reduction roadmap.
 
·  
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Supplier Development to bring new products and innovations to life.
 
·  Influence the purchasing strategy for Sheet Metal components globally.  
·  
Contribute to Volvo Group’s transformation by identifying new sourcing opportunities, technologies, and supply models.
This role is   strategic    ,   cross-functional    , and   impact-driven    —you will influence decisions that shape our future products and sustainability footprint.
   Who are you?    
You are passionate about purchasing as a strategic lever. You enjoy complexity, building relationships, and driving performance. You have:

Experience in strategic or project purchasing, ideally in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
 
·  
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
 
·  
The ability to work with both operational detail and long-term vision.
 
·  
A mindset focused on  continuous improvement ,  collaboration , and  sustainability .
If you have experience with Sheet Metal or fabricated components, that’s a strong plus.
