Position Description

POSITION TITLE: Regional segment Leader-Sr Commodity Buyer

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT: 7900 National Service Road, Greensboro, NC 27410

JOB DUTIES: Responsible to manage the Hose and Fittings business financials in a cross functional environment providing leadership and structured/consolidated road maps. Responsible and accountable for financial and technical deliverables of the assigned projects, Report and communicate in Steering Committees, Decision Bodies and Management forums. Manage financial activities of strategic projects. Senior Buyer directs and supervises professional buyers, associates, consultants, interns and supports purchasing personnel beginning at inception of the Project and continuing through production until it fulfills years of service market requirement. Requests and approves line organization appointment of associate buyers, interns and consultants, Fully responsible for actively managing and communicating financial information which can affect or impact project deliverables or ongoing business strategy with stakeholders, May request needed financial resources for te project due to project workload and/or components complexity, Drives recommendations for the global and executive management teams related to business direction for the region.

REQUIRMENTS: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Purchasing Management or foreign equivalent and 2 years of experience as a Buyer in automotive or commercial truck commodity purchasing. Previous experience managing suppliers and vendors. Demonstrated experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements using lean principles. Understanding of supply chain, material management and logistic processes within a global supply chain. Previous crisis management experience. Demonstrated understanding of material cost levels, supplier long term contracts, price agreements, raw material contracts,
