The electromobility department at Volvo Penta is a diverse team and consist of 5 groups and in total 70 engineers. We have a close collaboration within the electromobility department as well as with specific development projects.

We are now looking for the Product Architect within Electromobility at Volvo Penta.

Role description:

As Product Architect Electromobility you will be responsible for long-term architectural planning for electromobility, both for marine and industrial applications worldwide.

Together with colleagues at Volvo Penta and within the Volvo Group, you will maintain and develop the long-term plans for this area.

Key responsibilities:

·  Responsible for long term architectural planning for electromobility
·  Initiate and co-ordinate TD/AE need for electromobility
·  Owning electromobility system engineering model
·  Drive early requirements for electromobility
·  Monitor competitive landscape and benchmark

·  Dedication to customer success, ability to build deep understanding of customer needs and capability to translate this into vision and plans supporting the overall targets for the R&D community.
·  Hands on visionary, meaning the ability to convey a compelling vision but also the competence to bring it down to real roadmaps and actions.
·  Teamwork and collaborative spirit, to be able to build on the pool of knowledge and assets within Volvo Penta, the broader Volvo Group as well as external partners.
·  Transformation, you will lead during transformation where responsiveness is key moving forward. Your quest for continuous improvements is a key asset.
·  Extensive Engineering experience, with a passion for Electric and Hybrid drivelines both in Marine and Industrial applications
