Operations Intern
The Operations Intern will get an excellent opportunity within Volvo Group and bring win-win learning experience for self and the Company. The Intern will be exposed to lean methodology, Volvo Performance System and work closely with Singapore Operations Manager, Team leaders and other logistics personnel within the operations.
· Location : Volvo Group Singapore (33 Joo Koon Circle)
· Time Period : January 2025 to May 2025
· Only open for individuals residing in Singapore
Key Job Responsibilities
· Applying lean concepts into workflow and material flow design, mapping AS-IS and develop TO-BE process.
· Create and develop SOP & WI for warehouse operations process.
· Conduct time studies, analyze data to identify waste elimination opportunities targeting.
· Develop Takt time cycle time charts for various value streams
· Assist and execute defined layout changes optimizing space taking consideration of Safety, Quality and Cost.
· Assist in Communication activities and tasks on site.
· Assist in ad hoc projects and tasks
Critical Competencies Required
· Team player, hands on attitude with great attention to detail
· Should be able to work passionately on defined job responsibilities with good time Management, Communication Skills and Follow up
· Skill set around basic principles of Supply Chain, Operations or Logistics Warehouse management
· Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint), having good Analytical mindset
Key Competencies
· Minimum Degree in Supply Chain management, Business and Operations Management, or equivalent courses
· Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
· Effective verbal and communication skills
· Individuals with no experience are welcome as training will be provided
· Previous experience in a large warehousing logistics environment will be good advantage
