What you will do

At Volvo you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: 

Collaborate across departments to identify challenges and deliver process improvements aligned with the Volvo Production System (VPS) and Volvo Operations Concept. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside Material Controllers, contributing to capacity planning and KPI reporting using tools like Excel, QlikView, and Power BI.

Who are you?

Key Responsibilities

·  Support logistics operations by providing data-driven insights to improve performance.
·  Assist in capacity planning and the setup of new part locations.
·  Analyse and follow up on logistics KPIs, identifying improvement opportunities.
·  Coordinate with teams to remove obsolete parts from operations.
·  Work cross-functionally on continuous improvement initiatives.
·  Promote and implement lean principles (VPS and Volvo Operations Concept).
·  Participate in regional/global logistics networks and projects.
·  Ensure compliance with Volvo Group environmental, safety, and risk policies.

 

Qualifications & Experience

·  Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with QlikView, Power BI, or SQL is a plus.
·  Exposure to AutoCAD is desirable.
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·  Understanding of logistics processes and lean manufacturing principles.
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·  Ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage with stakeholders across the business.
