What you will do

You will be a key player in the Data Risk & Compliance team. Collaborate with colleagues in the Data Community and with compliance/security experts to find pragmatic and efficient ways to use and share data in the Group, in secure and compliant ways.    

One important part of your role will be to lead the way in the Access Management area. Focus on strategical/tactical aspects and contribute in setting priorities. The ownership of the Access Management process is part of the work, helping us to ensure clarity and oversight of the process documentation.  

Leading cross functional activities and aligning stakeholder requirements will be an important part of your work.  

You will actively engage in dialogues with the teams on information security topics and liaise with the security/compliance experts. Fostering the pragmatic and innovative security and compliance culture.

The ‘Data’ function in Group Digital & IT is a large multi-cultural organization with 600+ employees and contractors located mainly in 7 countries - Sweden, Poland, India, Belgium, Brazil, USA, and France.  In this role you will be joining as Information Risk & Security Officer.  

We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Volvo Group Digital & IT, with Truck Divisions, Business Areas and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.

Our goal it to unlock the power of data for the full Volvo Group to become a fully data-driven company! With data, the core component of our transformation journey, we will, together with our data talents, make the Volvo Group 2030 vision happen. We will take care of all the aspects of Data, how it is assured (quality/security/compliance), documented, made available, prepared and consumed through BI, Analytics and AI. We have an ambitious transformation ongoing, with the implementation of the Common Data Layers as well as the reinforcement of Data Governance and Data Management in the full Group. 

We are looking for a new colleague in the Data Risk & Compliance team, to take up the role as Information Risk & Security Officer .

We’re in the middle of an exciting data & digital transformation journey, and our role as Data Risk & Compliance team has never been more important. It is crucial that we can use the Data in the Volvo Group in efficient ways and at the same time keep the Data secure and fulfilling the relevant legal & security requirements.   

As part of our team you will work closely with colleagues across the Data Function and with the information/IT security and privacy & AI compliance experts in the Group. You will play a key role in leading the way in the Information security area with specific focus on Access Management.  

Who are you?

We are looking for a new colleague in the Data Risk & Compliance team, to take up the role as Information Risk & Security Officer .

We are looking for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution – someone who thrives in finding pragmatic solutions to complex topics. You are curious about the Data Governance and Management aspects but never lose sight of the business needs and values – and of course information security is at the heart of what you do.  
You have a solid knowledge and experience in the information security area. You may have a background as an IT/IS auditor, an advisor or worked in the field in other roles - what matters most is your mindset and approach. We think you’ll enjoy this role if have: 

- Documented experience and implementation track record within the information security area.  
- Can-do attitude paired with strong stakeholder management skills.  
- You feel confident in sharing you knowledge and advising on information security/Access Management topics.  
- You have an interest and some experience of Access Management.  
- Great structuring and organizational skills – have an ability to provide the holistic view – to bring simplicity into complex topics.  
- Excellent communication skills.  
- Experience working in large international company, in automotive area would be a plus.

We are a team of 5 experienced professionals. We work close together with teams in the Data Function and collaborate with experts in Legal & Compliance, Privacy & AI Compliance and Information & IT Security throughout the Group.
