At CAST within Vehicle Engineering, we are looking for a Group Manager for Advanced Engineering to join our dynamic Management Team and play a crucial role in the future of our transport ecosystem. In this role, you will be part of an organization dedicated to technology and employee development, prioritizing user and customer satisfaction. We are a team of architects, analysts, engineers, and specialists focused on our future products, concepts, and sustainability. Our global department, CAST & Platform Development, drives the Volvo Group principles for Common Architecture & Shared Technology, identifying key efficiency initiatives and supporting process development within our hardware ecosystem. With around 180 engaged engineers, we tackle exciting challenges in a positive atmosphere that values teamwork and diverse perspectives. 

What will you do?
As Group Manager for Advanced Engineering, you will lead a team in Gothenburg, Sweden, contributing to various activities within GTT and across Business Areas. 

Your responsibilities include:
•    Advanced Engineering & Vehicle Concepts: Foster collaboration in developing concepts that support global solutions, exploring innovative transport solutions.
•    Governance: Prepare and coordinate Advanced Engineering & Platform Architecture Committees, ensuring consistency across stakeholder committees.
•    Portfolio Management: Maintain an updated view of our Vehicle & Technology AE Portfolio for current and future transport scenarios.
•    You will also manage synchronization of vehicle and technology roadmaps, identify improvement areas, lead cross-functional investigations, chair AE Vehicle Concepts Governance, and oversee the Vehicle and Technology AE Portfolio.

•    You are an experienced leader with a drive to explore and develop new technology. You have a MSc or higher educational background. A positive mindset and “we-can-do-it attitude” characterizes your personal profile. You are confident in driving activities inside as well as outside your own organization.
•    You have a strong technical acumen to pave the path for future products that our customers will yearn for
•    You have the ability to see the “big picture” and you are used to managing tasks on a high level of complexity
•    You have strong knowledge of the Advance engineering process, both internal and external
•    You have strong knowledge of modularization – you understand the balance between customer offering and a properly sized modular toolbox
•    You are a business-oriented leader with strong strategic and analytical ability
•    You have excellent communication and presentation skills with a passion for influencing and inspiring others with facts, and the ability to interact and influence at all levels
•    You have natural innovation, creative and leadership qualities to initiate the change to stay ahead
