About Us:  

Group Trucks Technology  is the largest R&D wing of Volvo group. We are seeking talents to help design sustainable transportation solutions for the future. As part of our team, you’ll help enable talent to engineer exciting next-gen technologies and contribute to projects that determine new, sustainable solutions. 

Job Description: 

· 
Perform calculation and simulation on Powertrain components and systems. 

· 
To define loads and boundary conditions for components/systems 

· 
To be able to mesh components with required quality (tetra, shell). 

· 
Virtually verify components/systems 

· 
Optimize components/systems to reduce weight/cost. 

· 
To provide input to concept, component and system selection. 

· 
Interact with global design team – take inputs, run analysis, write and present technical reports 

  

Qualifications and Requirements:

  

· 
Mechanical Engineering Graduate or Post-graduate

·  2 - 5 years experience
·  CAE/ FEA simulations , Engine/Driveline product knowledge

· 
Experience in Fatigue analysis, Vibration analysis, Static analysis. Preferably in Powertrain domain – Engines, Driveline (Axles, Gear boxes, etc.) 

· 
Software skill required: Ansys APDL, Abaqus and ANSA 
Automation skills -  Using Python or any scripting 

· 
Good understanding of Powertrain technology, materials knowledge, awareness of powertrain parts and accessories. 

· 
Strong commitment to deliver on time with consistent and strict adherence to quality.
