We are looking for a Logistics Engineering Coordinator who combines not only technical expertise with leadership skills, but also with passion for innovation, and the ability to inspire teams to achieve great results.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for guiding and developing a team of technicians and engineers to achieve operational excellence in internal logistics. You will play a key role in enhancing processes, ensuring safety, quality, and cost-efficiency while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Your responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development:
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering professional growth through career planning, training programs, and regular performance touchpoints.
• Identify critical competences and implement a structured training and qualification plan to build a high-performing team.
• Ensure team participation in global forums and cross-functional projects to be aligned with best practices.
Flow Improvement, Innovation and Excellence:
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (SQDCEP) through root cause analysis (RCA) and Kaizens to identify and implement processes improvements.
• Enhance internal logistics efficiency & sustainability through optimized flows, innovation and solutions for manpower, equipment, packaging, space and lay-out.
• Ensure Lean Manufacturing and VPS (Volvo Production System) implementation, ensuring the team’s mastery of these methodologies through structured training and execution.
• Optimize the PPEP, developing not only packaging and internal flow strategies aligned with VOC but also defining best E2E flow possible, including safety stock.
• Lead VPS Logistics Focus Area and ensure our support to Workplace Organization, Cost Deployment, Focused Improvement and Early Equipment Management (EEM).
Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Manage the Logistics PI’s Planning with all stakeholders and ensure adherence to agile methodologies to drive project success.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication across cross-functional teams, ensuring an end-to-end (E2E) perspective in logistics operations.
• Ensure logistics automation, new picking and transport solutions through robust business cases and requesting investments to implement it.
• Drive/support the implementation of product & industrial projects, focusing on delivering world class flows and logistics solutions.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education :
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (mandatory).
· Postgraduate degree in People Management or Project Management is a plus.
Experience :
· Proven experience in Logistics and process improvement.
· Solid understanding of VPS Logistics focus areas (based on WCM methodology).
· Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
· Experience with Agile Methodologies for project execution.
Key Skills :
· Strong leadership and people development capabilities.
· Proficiency in driving operational excellence through metrics (SQDCEP).
· Strategic mindset with the ability to lead and implement complex projects.
· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
· Effective communication and collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
· Fluent English
