What you will do

The Accounting Associate plays a critical role in managing dealer parts billing discrepancies, claims resolution, and credit processing. This position is responsible for investigating invoice discrepancies, resolving dealer claims efficiently, and ensuring timely issuance of credits and debits to maintain financial accuracy.

 

Core Responsibilities:

·  Research & Resolve Discrepancies – Identify, analyze, and correct dealer billing discrepancies related to parts invoices.
·  Claims Processing – Investigate and resolve discrepancy claims submitted by dealers and suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate adjustments.
·  Invoice Management – Process supplier invoices, generate dealer invoices for parts shipments, and register invoices for payment.
·  Credit & Debit Issuance – Issue debit and credit notes to customers and suppliers to correct billing errors.
·  Vendor & Dealer Coordination – Work closely with vendors, dealers, and internal teams to expedite discrepancy resolutions.
·  Customer Support – Provide professional customer support to dealers, addressing billing concerns within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
·  Vendor Statement Reconciliation – Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure outstanding discrepancies are resolved efficiently.

Who are you?

Required Competencies:

·  Strong Understanding of Financial Policies & Procedures – Knowledge of parts billing policies as defined by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
·  Discrepancy Resolution Expertise – Proven ability to research, analyze, and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
·  Systems Proficiency – Experience with various invoicing and billing systems, particularly SAP, Dealer Facing System
·  Attention to Detail – Ability to review and analyze invoices, claims, and statements with a high degree of accuracy.
·  Microsoft Office Skills – Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products for financial analysis and reporting.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Education – associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
·  Experience – At least one year of experience in accounting, sales billing, or discrepancy resolution.

 

Work Environment:

·  Office-Based Role – Standard office environment with occasional collaboration across teams to expedite claim resolutions.

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $45,500 - $56,200 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.  The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
