UHF/VHF Radio Engineer F/H

Job description

We are hiring a UHF/VHF Radio Engineer in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop Ultra High Frequency (UHF)  and Very High Frequency  (VHF) radio communication systems considering project-specific requirements.
Conduct radio wave propagation studies and spectrum analyses to determine appropriate design parameters.
Participate in the integration, installation, configuration, and commissioning of radio equipment in the field.
Perform performance testing and tuning to ensure proper operation of radio systems.
Provide technical support in troubleshooting radio communication issues.
Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to integrate radio systems into broader solutions.
Ensure compliance with radio communication standards and regulations.
Document designs, installation procedures, and radio system configurations.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of radio frequency principles and wireless communication.
Proficiency in radio system design and simulation techniques.
Hands-on experience with radio measurement equipment and software.
Knowledge of UHF/VHF communication standards and protocols such as DMR, P25, TETRA, etc.
Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot radio equipment issues.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ability to accurately document work performed.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
Previous experience in designing or operating UHF/VHF radio communication systems
Previous experience in Oil & Gas environment
Professional certification in the field of radio communications may be advantageous
