Job description
Within the frame of its development strategy TERRE ARMEE is reinforcing its operational organization with the hiring of a Director of Industry and Supply Chain.
The candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the industrial strategy of TERRE ARMEE, in coordination with the Business Segment leaders and the Zone or Regional managers. This encompasses making critical decisions such as whether to produce in-house or outsource, determining strategic sourcing or optimal production locations, establishing strategic production partnerships, and planning necessary investments.
The Director of Industry and Supply Chain will supervise the industrial component of the product development process, from feasibility study to production roll-out. His/her contribution will be essential for the design of the products and of the processes, as well as for the certification of the products.
For major capital expenditures, he/she will supervise the business plans, with a specific attention to the ROI , the definition of the specifications, the implementation planning and te handover of the equipment. In the production stage, he/she will establish and monitor key performance indicators and develop improvement plans.
The procurement component of the function will include the supervision of the sourcing of key products and the management of the purchasing processes in the Group.
The Director of Industry and Supply Chain will promote and supervise the deployment of supply chain management softwares.
He/she will provide support and expertise for due diligences carried out for mergers and acquisition and will foster the integration of acquired industrial facilities.
This position reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the Executive Committee (EXCOM).
The scope of work is the following:
· Strategy : Define and Manage Geoquest Industrial strategy in coordination with segments managers/leaders and zone managers
· Product development : supervision of following processes (Industrial innovation, Feasibility, Industrialization, selection of processes, pProduction, quality management for the certification of the products
· Industry (supervision of technical specifications, business plans, planning, handover, KPI monitoring, improvements plans)
· Digital: promotion and supervision for the deployment of supply chain management softwares
· M&A: assistance for due diligences, integration of industrial facilities
The candidate for this position at the corporate level, will have a substantial industrial experience (and/or experience in the building materials sector), an expertise in supply chain management, a deep understanding of industrial processes and tools, an international background and the capacity to navigate at the 3 levels of strategy, tactics, ans operations.
