Job description

To meet the ambitious goals of an international project in a challengin environment, we are recruiting an experienced Project Control Manager (M/F). 

To oversee and manage all aspects of project controls and to ensure the Project Control functions (cost control, planning / scheduling and progress, risk management, and reporting) are established in accordance with the contract and internal requirements for all phases of the project. 

This position will be based abroad in a demanding environment, with regular travel on the project site.

Reporting to the Project Director :

·       Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules using scheduling software (Primavera P6), and update the project schedule to reflect actual progress and identify potential delays.

·       Manage the project budget, including forecasting and monitoring project costs.

·       Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (risk mitigation strategies, action plans to address potential issue, project risks monitoring).

·       Monitor project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and project objectives ( and present regular project status reports to stakeholders)

·       Manage and document changes to the project scope, schedule, and budget

·       Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure adequate resources (e.g., manpower, equipment, materials) are available and allocated effectively.

·       Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors.

·       Coordinate with project managers and other functional managers to ensure alignment and integration of project controls with project objectives.

·       Coordinate with Contract Management to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.

Desired profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven track record in in project controls, planning, and scheduling in the construction industry (at least 5 years’ experience).
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Wide ranging independent judgement evident, proven track record in this regard
• Acceptance of responsibility of role, and actively seeks opportunities to enhance personal performance
• Balanced and resilient
• Experience working in remote project environments and camp-based operations.
• Ability to work in challenging environments with 9 weeks ON / 3 weeks OFF rotation schedules.
