Job Description

Veolia Japan is seeking a Junior OHS Advisor to support the country's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring compliance with the OHS Contract (including tracking and reporting), Group & Asia OHS initiatives, Veolia's HRMS, and OHS best practices.

As a Junior OHS Advisor, you will:

·  Support the country's OHS team in ensuring compliance with OHS Contract, Group & Asia OHS initiatives, Veolia's HRMS, and OHS best practices.
·  Assist in workplace hazard assessments, development of OHS policies and procedures, and implementation of accident reduction initiatives.
·  Contribute to incident reporting, investigation, and analysis systems, helping to identify trends and track actions.
·  Stay updated on local and international OHS regulations, providing updates and recommendations to the OHS team.
·  Support HRMS audits, OHS inspections, and the review of national OHS policies and legislation.
·  Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote OHS initiatives and share best practices.
·  Provide assistance during emergencies or incidents, supporting timely response and preventive measures.

 

Qualifications

Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

·  Some experience in an OHS role or similar capacity, preferably in a technical function.
·  Familiarity with national and international OHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
·  Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to identify workplace hazards and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
·  Basic understanding of OHS policies and procedures, with eagerness to stay updated on emerging trends.
·  Proactive approach to problem-solving and strong organisational skills.
·  Entry-level certification in Occupational Health and Safety is desirable.

English fluency is required; Japanese language skills are considered an asset.
