Job Description

Veolia nv-sa is looking for VIE/PANGEO - EU Policy Officer in Brussels, Belgium. 

You will be joining thé Public Affairs Team, à group of ~10 members, ans You will report toi thé Head of EU Affairs. You will be joining the Public Affairs team , a group of 10 members, and you will report to the Head of EU Affairs

The VIE/PANGEO will contribute to the Public Affairs Department’s purpose, that is anticipating and influencing policy as well regulatory developments at EU level, across our 3 traditional business lines and mainly on water policy. The new VIE/PANGEO can expect to work in parallel on a high number of policy files 

· 
Monitor EU political and institutional developments in the following policy areas : water policy, energy, climate, taxonomy, EU funds, air quality (this list is indicative and subject to changes)  

· 
Analyse and summarise reports and draft legislation; 

· 
Contribute to relevant public consultations published by the European Commission;

· 
Participate on behalf of Veolia in relevant external meetings and conferences and report back on these;

· 
Participate in various events webinars and conferences 

· 
Acquire a good understanding of the Group's businesses, positions and challenges.

Qualifications

· 
Educational background: : Master’s degree in European affairs,  candidates with a degree in law or political science with a strong focus on European affairs (from e.g. Sciences Po, College of Europe, London School of Economics or other European universities) would also be considered 

· 
Previous experience: a first professional experience in public affairs would be an asset 

· 
Skills : knowledge of the EU decision-making process, very good interpersonal skills, cooperation and team spirit skills, ability to work independently and draft concisely

· 
Languages : professional English skills, any other language skills would be an asset 

·  Other : an interest for scientific and technical topics would be an asset

Remuneration : 2892,54€ net/month (according to the rates of October 2025)
