Job Description

In this Senior Finance Analyst role, you will partner closely with local Supply Chain leadership to develop and implement strategic objectives for managing the activities of manufacturing operations in our Analytical Instruments (AI) side of the business. Additionally, responsible for adherence to operational accounting, capital spending, inventory management & controls across the business. Cross-functional support between Supply Chain and Product Manager / Sales. Budgeting/Forecasting Process - involvement in plant production rates, BOMs, and OH. You'll also be working directly with Operations and Plant Leadership during the budgeting cycle to identify areas of opportunity. Work with site leadership to implement the business plan and execute consistent process and reporting. 

This is a hybrid role in Boulder, Colorado

Additional duties:

·  Provide support to the SC Leader on variable and base cost productivity initiatives
·  Collaborate with the purchasing and planning teams on material savings programs, inventory revaluations, and standard product costing.
·  Facilitate inventory processes, including setting standard costs, cycle counts, variance and allocation analysis, and ensuring accurate financial statements
·  Lead the SC closing processes across the AI business. Provide detailed variances analysis versus prior periods and operating plans
·  Support stock-taking processes, ongoing inventory controls, and excess inventory reserves
·  Ensure controllership and consistency of accounting process across the operations, drive controllership awareness and processes through operations teams, and ensure financial compliance
·  Support development of finance policies and procedures
·  Partner with product management to identify & drive product profitability actions
·  Ability to take on special projects to analyze key KPIs looking for improvement opportunities
·  Ability to work with operations to implement new ideas

 

Qualifications

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
·  Experience communicating with Senior Leadership in previous role/s
·  Budgeting + Forecasting experience
·  Standard costing experience
·  Experience leading closing processes
·  5+ years of finance experience
·  3+ years of manufacturing finance experience
·  Excel proficiency, SAP knowledge is required, PivotTable experience

·  Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity.  Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range:   97,000- 115,000 USD.
