Job Description

Tenders & Proposals:

Design and generate proposals that meet the client's URS requirements & budget expectations while highlighting our strengths and offering the best available technology that is suitable and can be delivered on time and within budget by the Engineering Team.

Environmental Health & Safety:

Adhere to all company and client safety and health regulations and employee obligations.

Produce designs that are compliant with health, safety, and environmental legislative requirements while being aware and familiar with the risks associated with particular industries before visiting a site and requesting from the client details of known health and safety hazards and following any instructions given, acting in a responsible and aware manner, avoiding undue risks.

Comply with all health and safety requirements when dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.

Customer Liaison: 

Represent Veolia Water Technologies on all matters relating to the Technical and Design elements of a potential project and control all related correspondence and documentation.

Carry out all client communications politely, professionally and courteously, promoting good relations and efficiency and delivering a professional approach at all times.

Attend site meetings with the Client, Engineering Consultant and Subcontractor when required.

Collaboration:

Work closely with fellow design engineers, sales managers, project engineers, and electrical design engineers in order to secure and deliver projects successfully.

Technology Development:

Keep up to date with the latest developments in the industry, focusing on where we can offer innovative technologies, particularly water conservation and reuse.

Become fully trained on new products introduced to the business, focusing on design and selection.
Processes Improvement:

Work to improve the Commercial & Tender process through new systems and structures that will enhance the proposals' operation, delivery and presentation. 

Qualifications

Requirements & Features that Require Emphasising:

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment.

Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills.

The ability to work with a team with a commercial focus on securing projects.

Level 7/8/9 National Framework Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Ability to work on own initiative and effectively manage & coordinate design
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
