Job Description
SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for our product lines. Duties include: preliminary and final detailed process design, proposal preparation, modeling/simulations, equipment specification and selection, write control system functional descriptions, plant start-up and operator training, plant operations support and troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate budgetary design proposals
·
Generate P&IDs
·
Complete preliminary designs using the design tools and models provided by the BU
·
Perform data analyses and summarize conclusions of the analyses
·
Solicit vendor quotes which meet project specifications
·
Generate EDS based on project specification requirements
·
Generate and conduct a general review of project specifications and construction plans
·
Develop sampling protocols
·
Develop a process design from conceptual level to highly detailed level
·
Conduct a detailed review of project plans and specifications
·
Generate process risk memorandums, which summarize the process performance requirements, key design elements, risk factors and penalties for not meeting process performance requirements
·
Correctly size equipment and hydraulic elements (e.g. piping, weirs, channels, troughs, gates, flow-control valves, etc)
·
Perform modeling with Veolia’s proprietary software
·
Complete detailed process designs
·
Perform peer reviews of P&IDs, process designs, calculations, data analyses
·
Train operations staff on how the process is to perform (including functionality of the control system)
·
Generate performance test protocols
·
Perform lab scale testing and analysis
·
25% travel expected
Qualifications
·
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required; Chemical Engineering preferred.
·
0 - 5 years of experience in process design of water and wastewater treatment.
·
A valid driver’s license.
