MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical

·  Assist and participate in the compilation of basic process design data; finalise process scheme & equipment selection
·  Be responsible for the process and design of the water treatment plants.
·  Carry out & review process, detailed designs; piping & mechanical equipments 
·  Prepare preliminary design, drawings, detailed drawings and fabrication details
·  Follow up the engineering design of the project on work progress
·  Participate the final selection of process, plant technology and equipment
·  Manage project engineering documentation (submittals, filing etc.)
·  Preparation of Process Mass Balance and Flow Diagrams, P&ID’s, Processes Calculation Notes, Hydraulic Calculation Notes, conceptual design validation, validation of drawings, technical specifications for procurement of equipment, Control Loop and Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, mechanical design of the related structures, participation in HAZOP studies
·  Perform any other duties related to his area of expertise as assigned by the Department Manager
·  Assist tender team for tender preparations and related documentation

 

QHSE Commitments

·  Take ergonomics and safety issues into consideration during drawing preparation following the design and corporates standards
·  Ensure the applicable QHSE Policies and standards/requirements/procedures are being applied and maintained
·  Liaise with the internal or external interested parties during the QHSE audits/inspections
·  Ensure to report Incidents (near misses, unsafe conditions, unsafe actions & etc.)
·  Keep the documented information as evidence ensuring the compliance to QHSE Management System

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 

·  BA in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering  
·  2 years experience on mechanical and process design in water treatment sector
·  Good knowledge of 2D&3D drawing softwares (CAD , etc..)
·  Good at English language
·  Industrial / municipal piping design experience
·  Instrumentation and material selection experience
·  Water and wastewater  process design experience

COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS 

 

TECHNICAL 

·  CAD and other drawing software capability
·  Good at Google work space sheets / excel 
·  English language 
·  Water treatment sector knowledge
