Job Description

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for operating the DTP and cooling system. Operates DTP and Cooling System to function based on agreement with the client.

Key Characteristics:

·  Skill in basic computer use
·  Skill in oral and written communication.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·  Collect samples and complete chemical analysis of water and wastewater at various points in the system to ensure that the processes are working based on design specifications.
·  Closely follow the cleaning and maintenance schedule of the plant and associated buildings to maintain a clean and orderly facility.
·  Monitor performance of machinery and equipment used to control the treatment processes, make process control decisions in conjunction with FSM and Site Supervisor.
·  Operate and monitor pumps and motors that move the water and wastewater through the systems.
·  Prepare daily reports of analysis and test results for laboratory and regulatory agencies; maintain records; enter data into a computer.
·  Reads and interprets charts, meters and gauges to determine operation efficiency.
·  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Preferred:

·  Skill in operating laboratory equipment.
·  Skills in handling and reading onsite meters such as pH.

Education & Experience

Required:

·  A Diploma or Associate Degree in Science
·  1 year working in a similar role or on a similar job ???

Preferred:

·  Knowledge of wastewater treatment process
·  Understanding how water or wastewater treatment equipment operates 
·  Knowledge of the handling and application of the chemicals necessary to maintain a safe work environment.
·  Knowledge of standard laboratory principles, techniques, equipment and materials.

Working Conditions:

·  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work in outside weather conditions. 
·  The employee will be exposed to chemicals and toxic substances and unpleasant odors. 
·  The employee will work around moving mechanical parts and exposed to wet humid conditions.
·  Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, crawling and climbing of unusual heights.
·  Incumbents will be required to lift, carry, push and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight.
