POSITION PURPOSE: A Facilities Maintenance (Porter) is responsible for the cleanliness and comfort for the clientele environment. 

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

·  Responsible for managing the building's cleanliness and orderliness, together with the cleaning maintenance team.
·  Perform general maintenance, custodial and trash and recycling removal tasks.
·  Oversee supplies in restrooms, coffee stations and water stations.
·  Applies Health & Safety standards in carrying out all work assignments, using appropriate safety devices and equipment as needed.
·  Required to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime to support facility activities. 
·  Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job can be physically demanding, involving movement of heavy equipment and carrying materials up and down stairs. Candidates should be able to lift and maneuver a 50-lb load. This job requires extensive walking.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background

·  High school diploma or GED equivalent.
·  Must have experience with sound safety practices using power equipment related to job assignments.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

·  Must have experience with sound safety practices using power equipment related to job assignments.
·  Able to work additional shift assignments to support facility operations as needed.
·  Ability to hear and understand audible alarms, detect changes in noise levels of facility equipment.
·  Ability to lift heavy equipment and carry materials up and down stairs with the capacity of lifting 50 pounds.
