Job Description
Targeted Annual Pay Range: Minimum of $65000 to a maximum $70000

Position Purpose:
Responsible for administering designated environmental, health, and safety programs and related policies and procedures affecting the company’s existing environmental, health and safety issues. Acts in a liaison capacity with management personnel regarding interpretation of all policies and procedures pertaining to technical support and guidance on industrial hygiene, reactive and explosive, OHSA, substance abuse testing, accident prevention, etc. On an as needed basis to assist in the training of emergency response techniques, safety management, risk assessment, DOT, to maintain appropriate safety standards throughout the site.
Primary Duties/responsibilities:
· Conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring, as specified in the company’s Industrial Hygiene Plan.
· Maintains monitoring equipment.
· Performs Annual review and update of selected Site Plans and Standard Divisional Practices (SDP’s).
· Recommends changes/corrections to ensure regulatory compliance.
· Participates on an improvement team pertaining to all environmental, health, and safety programs. Makes appropriate recommendations to facilitate the needs at various facilities.
· Conducts, as needed, RCRA Inspection.
· Other duties as specified by the EH&S Manager
· Conducts training in environmental (Benzene, NESHAP, Subpart BB and Subpart CC monitoring), OSHA, DOT, site remediation, reactive chemical operations, emergency response, etc. as needed or requested by the facility.
· Completes regulatory reports, such as annual non-hazardous waste/hazardous waste reports, Benzene NESHAP reports, TRI reports, Subpart BB/CC reports, and other additional reporting as specified by the EH&S Manager.
· Maintains Corrective Action Reporting Systems (CMS, Tracer, Compliance Suite, HM DOT, etc.)
· Approximately 10% travel required.
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
· Minimum of BS in Science, Environmental or Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline preferred
· 2 to 4 years in the hazardous waste industry or related work experience preferred
· 2+ years in a problem-solving capacity preferred
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
· Extensive knowledge in environmental, health and safety methodologies required
· Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite
· Strong team player
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
· Strong customer orientation
Required Certification / Licenses / Training:
· 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
