Poste et missions:
As VPS Engineer, you will be responsible for Lean optimizing within Supply Chain Organization of our physical flows in Valeo Service.
The job is aiming to increase service towards the customer while reducing costs. There is a strong focus on reduction of non-quality costs and administrative workload. You will be responsible for ensuring correct reporting on operational level worldwide and ensuring linked action plans.
In the meanwhile you will support the Regional VPS Manager Europe with regular follow-up of a few selected divisions. Management of these divisions remains responsibility of the Regional Manager, but you will help increase the follow-up frequency as delegated.
The job includes mastering (functionally) the Logistic Information Systems (such as SAP/WMS, Qlickview, etc) to enable both reporting and improvements.
The job offers a link between lean engineering plans and operational realization.
As VPS Engineer, you will report directly to the VPS Manager for Valeo Service and you will support the VPS Regional Manager for Europe.
YOUR MISSION:
- Support the Supply Chain team with the objectives of maximizing the service level, minimizing the logistic costs and inventories and accelerating the physical flows from suppliers to customers;
- Identify and generate opportunities for improvement;
- Manage and improve the VPS reporting from divisions in one central report;
- Database coordinator for the Logistic Information Systems;
- Improve Safety.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support continuous improvement actions in all supply chain activities in term of :
> Safety (reported via Weekly Flash monitoring and Group Directives application);
> Reporting progress on Activity Trackers;
> Participation to VPS workshops;
> Administrate the logistics VPS committee;
> Participate actively in
- 30 plan (overall productivity plan) and labor productivity plan;
- Logistic Information System Support :
> Continuous development in reporting and database activity
> Automate reporting
> Support and improve correct delivery creation (setup of calendars, customs data, routes, transporters and picking instructions).
> Support implementations to optimize Logistic Information Systems (such as SAP, WMS and TMS).
- Lean Management (Valeo Production Systems: VPS)
> Support on the implementation of the productivity plan.
> Enroll reporting of the Lean Foundations (based on internal auditing: V5000 roadmap).
> Improve internal reporting and analyzing tools (both in efficiency/automation as in usefulness).

Profil:
Education: Industrial engineering
Professional background: Significant experience in Supply Chain, Knowledge in Lean engineering and IT.
Languages: English (mandatory), French would be a plus
Others: Driving license
