Assistant Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Job description

Working as an Assistant Engineer within the Buildings and Places team in Telford, your job will be to undertake design work on highways and infrastructure projects for a range of clients both locally and nationally. To make sure you have the right tools and knowledge to be successful, you will be working alongside an experienced Senior Engineer, who will be able to advise you on best practice and help you with training and personal development. You will be responsible for the delivery of design solutions for sub-elements of schemes, including the productions of design calculations based upon appropriate methods, drawings and contract documentation across a range of road, highways and drainage schemes.

To be successful at this job, you will need experience and skills in Highway Alignment and Drainage Design, with proficiency in AutoCad. You will ideally be degree educated in Civil Engineering - HND or equivalent as a minimum.

Experience of design software including AutoTrack, Micro Drainage, PDS, WinDes, Mx (Moss) 3D modelling, Key Lines and AutoSign is desirable
