Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate to undertake a three month internship, with the possibility of an extension or a permanent role.

The Company
A small and dynamic urban regeneration organisation that specialised in community involvement, housing and neighbourhood regeneration and research and analysis is looking for a recent graduate with an understanding in, and interest in urban regeneration.
The organisation works with a number of different clients which includes a mix of statutory bodies, local councils, NHS, regeneration agencies, architects and third sector bodies.
The Role
The purpose of the role will be to assist consultancy staff on a wide range of regeneration projects. As such, the successful candidate will be expected to assist organisation staff across the entire spectrum of consultancy work. This is likely to include the preparation of bids and proposals, the organisation of community consultation events, project development and management, conducting original research and analysis, production of reports and briefing papers as well as providing administrative support.
Major duties and responsibilities:
To assist in the planning and implementation of projects for clients of StUF. Typically this will include a number of the following activities:
- Research and analysis
- Working with partners and members of local communities
- Preparing consultation material
- Training residents / facilitating / running consultation events
- Writing final reports
- Preparing tender documents
- Budget management
- Project management
- Administrative support
Other Relevant Matters:
- Receive and actively participate in staff training.
- Be required occasionally to attend meetings outside of normal office hours
- Be aware of current Health and Safety at work legislation and ensure that safe working practices are followed and advise where appropriate.
The Candidate
Applicants must be interested in a career in urban regeneration, familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access), good with people (clients and public), excellent writing skills, keen to learn/develop and have an eye for detail. Initially this will be a three month temporary contract that could lead to a permanent contract.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate with a good honours degree (first class or upper second) or equivalent in a relevant discipline - Planning, Urban Regeneration, Geography, Environmental Studies, Public Administration or similar.
We would particularly encourage students with a second language to apply for this position as we work with communities across London including BME groups.
Benefits
The intern will be paid £245 per week
The internship will be for an initial duration of 3 months. However there is the possibility of it leading to a permanent contract.
