Job description

Recruitment has opened for a 6 month Global initiatives / Energy Initiative paid internship with C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. The successful intern is expected to around August/September.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to progress within the field of Sustainability and Development of Climate Change to work in C40’s Global Initiative Team. Working a 40-hour week, the successful candidate will undertake research that will support the various networks and support the production of good practice guides.

The candidate will also support the organisation of city-to-city network interactions and exchanges such as webinars, group calls and workshops. The candidate will also liaise with colleagues in the communications team to ensure that key messages are shared through C40 website, blogs, twitter or other formats, prepare PowerPoint presentations and coordinate network performance metrics on a quarterly basis to track city engagement and progress of the Energy networks.

The Candidate

Applicants must be a graduate / undergraduate in a relevant field and have:

· Demonstrated interest in energy efficiency or renewable energy (through courses taken or prior work or volunteer experience)

· Graduate/ undergraduate in a relevant field

· Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills

· Excellent research skills

· The ability to use webinar platforms (e.g. Adobe Connect, Cisco Webex) and PowerPoint

· Experience living/working in Africa, Asia or Latin America preferred

Benefits

The successful intern will receive compensation of £9.15 per hour.
