Job Title –Process Technologist
Salary: £24,076 - £26,751
Location: Port Sunlight

Unilever Global Hair Processing Team is looking for an exceptional Process Technologist to contribute to the success of our global brands.
This role would be ideal for recent graduates as full training and development opportunities will be provided.

Main Job Purpose
In order to compete in today's marketplace, successful companies must generate growth through new product and process innovations. The work of this group, which is involved primarily in delivery of new products and processes, will directly contribute to Unilever's successes.

Job Summary
· You're a dot connector: Must be able to see the big picture and connect projects from different countries and brands to drive simplification and gross margin improvement opportunities.

· You're a story teller Can communicate success stories across functions. Also must be able to present technical projects to a wide variety of backgrounds, including leadership teams and brand teams :
· Create inspiring new products which delight our consumers, using innovative and creative processes. You will be central to helping Unilever create competitive advantage in the marketplace with the consumer at the heart of everything we do.
· You will be conducting your own work programme in our world class advanced manufacturing pilot plant facility. This will include equipment setup, pilot plant operation as well as data collection, analysis and interpretation using a suite of digital tools.
· We will expect you to work with product formulators to scale up and adapt bench-scale processes. You will develop new processes in line with the capabilities in our factories and pilot plants.
· You will develop tailored process specifications at pilot plant scale to create high quality products in the most efficient way.
· A core part of the role will be to identify potential process routes to improve the efficiency of our current manufacturing processes. This could include identifying game changing process technologies and assessing feasibility.
· You will be expected to work effectively as part of a diverse global team with partners spread geographically across the world in R&D, technical and factory teams. You will effectively communicate and interact with people from different cultures and technical functions . You will share the collective ambition to land Unilever's inspiring sustainability agenda.

Key Requirements
Degree qualified preferably in Chemical Engineering
Skilled and comfortable working in a digital environment
A creative, logical and analytical mind to generate innovative solutions to technical problems.
Ability to respond quickly to changes in priorities
You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive with good verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate complex engineering and design principles to people at all levels of the business, across different functions.
