System Engineer - ADDM (Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping)

The IT Asset & Configuration Management (ITAM) team manages the strategy and development of the processes, data, and tools that are used to support the configuration and discovery of the central IT inventory as well as the IT portfolio within UBS. These tools include the BMC (bmc.com) discovery solution The discovered data is used to enrich the data of the central IT Inventory and CMDB solution, for EoL analysis, for license controls and more.

The ADDM System Engineer is a key role to implement and run this discovery solution and this person will have a major impact to data quality aspects of the firm's inventory worldwide.

As an ADDM System Engineer, you will be responsible for the configuration of the ADDM functionality, the integration into the infrastructure as well as for the analysis of the discovered result and corresponding actions.

The role will be located in the UBS office in Zabierzow (Krakow Business Park).

Responsibilities:

• Integrating the discovery tool to the product catalog
• Integrating the discovery data to the CMDB and KPI solutions
• Performing ADDM discovery configuration
• Maintaining the automation of the scanning process
• Analyzing discovery results and taking corresponding actions
• Managing vendor and internally built application fingerprints
• Providing reports and KPIs
• Analyzing customer requirements regarding discovery

Requirements:

• ITIL v3 Knowledge
• Unix Shell and Perl Scripting skills
• Understanding of Unix and Windows operating systems
• Good knowledge of infrastructure and dependency data like server and application relations
• Very good written and spoken English

Additional assets:

• Good knowledge and principles of discovery and dependency mapping (BMC ADDM)
• Oracle SQL
• TPL (Tideway Pattern Language)
• JIRA
