Your team

You'll be working in the The Equities IT team is part of the UBS Asset Management's Application Delivery function. We are a small cross functional team working in an agile fashion to deliver enhancements to the Equities Front Office platform.
The team are responsible for developing and maintaining a fully integrated global Equities Front Office platform for Equity portfolio modelling/construction/optimisation, real-time risk analysis, STP, heterogeneous alpha & risk sources and time series reporting capabilities, enhancement of bespoke Quant, Research and Valuation tools and integration of vendor solutions. The following 3 core applications are the backbone of the Equities Front Office platform:

Desired profile

Your experience and skills

You have:
– hands on experience (2+ years) as software developer building enterprise grade applications
– experience in .NET using C#, with experience in C# 4.0/4.5 being highly desirable
– recent experience in the development of all tiers of an enterprise application: GUI (Win Forms/WPF), Services (WCF), relational database (SQL-Server or Oracle), messaging (TIBCO or MQ) and data integration
– a good grounding of convergent technologies to include messaging software, SOA, systems architecture concepts and approaches
– experience working in an agile environment with focus on Scrum or Kanban delivery processes
– analytical and questioning mind (you are not afraid to challenge the status quo on a large scale and suggest viable alternative approaches)
