The candidate will work in the RWA Regional team analyzing Basel III risk weighted assets results across different product portfolios covering several legal entities within the region. The candidate will develop an understanding of the capital requirements mandated by Basel III for different business streams. The role will include analysis of trade structures to ensure the reporting of Basel III compliant RWA and drive RWA optimization initiatives. Additional responsibilities will include coordination with Change the Bank teams and developing the RWA control framework and ensure compliance with the Basel III policy requirements.

The role provides an exciting and challenging opportunity to work within a dynamic environment. The candidate will liaise with several different functions within the Bank including Treasury, Finance, Market Risk and Credit Risk to resolve issues and understand the key drivers generating RWAs. This role also requires working closely with RWA controllers in different regions across Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific. The role will also develop the candidate's ability to “think outside the box” to develop the controls required to ensure the completeness and integrity of the RWA framework. The candidate will use the information gathered to present the current deficiencies in the process and brainstorm suitable tactical and strategic solutions to the problems identified. The candidate will be exposed to the tight deadlines imposed for month-end reporting, this will develop an individuals time management skills by ensuring solutions are delivered in a timely manner.

Requirements:
• University degree level or equivalent or professional accounting qualification
• Must have an excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively to Senior Management
• The candidate should be a self-starter, with a keen interest in Financial Markets and Treasury related matters
• Strong business sense and time management skills are essential
• The candidate should be an analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to plan forward and make tactical decisions
