Overview
· Advise GFO, UHNW and FIM clients and UBS Client Advisers on Private Label Funds ('PLF') / Collective Investment Scheme structures, possible jurisdictions and legal set-ups.
· Responsible for proper onboarding of clients into the UBS environment, including the cross-selling of the entire Asset Servicing offering and the positioning of additional UBS services like Brokerage.
· Ensure high client satisfaction and client experience through ongoing lifecycle management interactions and client review meetings. Initiate and participate in recurring PLF Due Diligence.
· Responsible to support the standardisation, process & sales optimisation of the PLF offering within Asset Servicing APAC.
· The Private Label Fund Specialist will report to the Head of PLF Competence Center APAC.
Main job and responsibilities include:
Advisory Services
· Provide PLF-related information to clients (jurisdictions, structures, requirements, tax / regulatory considerations, etc.) and present the UBS offering.
· Review client situations, provide guidance on structuring and discuss potential PLF solutions with clients. Provide clients with a booking centre neutral advice.
· Coordinate discussions with and between External Service Providers
('ESP'), including:
- Leadership in handholding the client wrt selection, negotiation and coordination of the various relationships with ESPs.
- Facilitate the cooperation with and between the various ESPs.
- Develop, monitor and maintain the list of acceptable / recommended ESPs.
· PLF market analysis, identification & cultivation of prospects (in collaboration with Markets and FIM, 'Business') in alignment with Asset Servicing strategic goals.
· Is responsible for cost calculation, pricing proposals and negotiation in collaboration with Business.
· Initiate marketing activities and ensure measures are aligned to Asset Servicing product bundles (marketing material, client events, etc).
· Develop generic PLF-related marketing materials and client-specific presentations.
· Develop PLF-related training materials for Business, wealth planners and other interested parties and present at brownbag events, Business training programs & etc.
· The Asset Servicing PLF Specialist will work closely with the Asset Servicing Specialists in Singapore, Hong Kong as well as Luxembourg and Zurich for specific offerings to prospects / clients and to develop new business in collaboration with Business.
Onboarding & Account Opening
· Responsible for the further development and implementation of PLF Due Diligence, onboarding, account opening, account servicing and account reviewing procedures.
· Is responsible for a streamlined Onboarding & Account Opening process. Obtaining internal approvals and assess structures with internal stakeholders, is responsible that Onboarding & Account Opening guidelines are respected for every case.
· Stepwise and professional project-based transition and stakeholder management.
· Provide assistance to Client Advisors during the Onboarding & Account Opening process.
· Coordinate PLF implementation process between clients and ESPs, including Investment Managers, Lawyers and Fund Administrators.
· Is responsible for proper documentation (Contact Sheets, Contracting, etc) together with the respective Client Advisor.
· Identify critical activities to be addressed in the set-up and onboarding phase.
Lifecycle Management
· Stay abreast of relevant regulation, legislation and (UBS & industry) best practices so as to sustain consistent provision of high quality service.
· Continuous (ad hoc) support for clients and Client Advisors, regarding any and all PLF-related matters.
· Ongoing monitoring of UBS service delivery and engagement across internal & external stakeholders to ensure consistent high-quality client experience.
· Initiate, plan and conduct recurring PLF Due Diligence and review meetings to maintain relationships to clients and their third party partners and to ensure that set up is in-line with respective best practices.
· Identify and capture cross-selling opportunities.
· Responsible to achieve location-specific and regional growth ambitions of Asset Servicing APAC (Net New Money & Revenues).
· Coordinate actively the internal and external stakeholders and act as a point of escalation regarding PLF set-ups.
Standardisation, process & sales optimisation of the PLF offering
· Support the Asset Servicing team in finalising the PLF business framework
for APAC.
· Support the drafting & approval of PLF policy documentation for APAC.
· Lead the process & sales optimisation of the PLF offering in APAC.
· Support active and systematic tracking of sales activities, where desirable
initiate re-pricing efforts.
Additional functions
· Support Stakeholder Management activities: across Asset Servicing colleagues, internal stakeholders, Business, clients and ESPs.
· Improve Integrated Bank performance by considering cross-selling opportunities: within Asset Servicing and across the entire UBS franchise for both existing clients and prospects.
· Track client relationship interactions by using CRM tools.
· Support overall CIC build up in APAC.
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
· University degree (bachelor or higher) or financial services qualifications.
· 2 to 4 years experience in banking, legal or consultancy with significant experience in structuring solutions for wealthy individuals and / or institutions; OR
3 to 5 years experience in banking: project / business management &/ process optimisation &/ controlling.
· Very high level of independent working capacity, proactiveness & persistent personality.
· Experience in dealing with sophisticated and very demanding bank clients.
· Enjoys dealing with prospects, clients and Client Advisors; particularly motivated to earn and maintain a ‘trusted advisor' status.
· Flair for financial markets as well as operations.
· Experience and competence in dealing with investment management considerations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Team player.
· Highly developed conceptional skills.
