Group Operations provides the infrastructure and capability for the Bank to execute its business, ensuring we deliver a premium service to our clients, improving productivity without comprising our reputation, regulatory requirements or internal control framework.
Group Securities Settlement delivers first class services and solutions in the areas of securities related settlement activities to UBS internal and external clients across Investment Bank, Global Asset Management & Wealth Management.
The successful candidate will work in the Securities Settlement team and responsibilities will include:
Equities Settlements
•Settlement of all Cash Equities settlement for the Asia-Pacific Markets for all businesses across the Investment Bank
•Reconciliation & Controls for all intersystem, intercompany & Nostro accounts.
•Manage stock positions & report and monitor any fails & charges for the respective business functions.
•Process payment and receipts to ensure trades are settled/ paid in a timely manner.
•Process and manage client custody and management fees.
•Process and manage client stock transfer requests.
•Capacity savings and Business Change Initiatives.
Fixed Income Settlements
•Settlement of all Fixed Income Securities settlement (Cash & Repo) for the Asia-Pacific Markets for all businesses across the Investment bank & Wealth Management.
•Reconciliation & Controls for all intersystem, intercompany, Depot & Nostro accounts.
•Process payment and receipts to ensure trades are settled/ paid in a timely manner & perform daily cash balancing.
•Manage FI Corporate Actions, Coupon & Maturity processes.
•Manage client custody positions.
•Capacity savings and Business Change Initiatives.
•Manage settlement of FI related structured products.
CRITICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
•Knowledge of the securities industry
•Strong interpersonal skills
•Ability to work and communicate with team members
•Strong analytical skills
•Excellent Customer facing skills and ability to build rapport with clients.
•Knowledge of Customer's Culture
•Excellent English written and communication skills
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
•Graduate preferably in Finance / Commerce or Accounts
•1-2 years of relevant experience would be preferable
•Excellent Communication skills
•GOOD analytical skills
•Good attention to detail
•Aptitude for understanding technology
•Independent decision making
