As a Junior Account Manager (JAM) at UBS you will support a team of Account Managers within Hong Kong Hub servicing Financial Intermediaries (FIM) and their end-clients (FIM EC). You will ensure a smooth execution of all daily and recurring tasks by interacting with team members and/or FIMs and their end-clients directly, contribute to manage operational risks along WM and Global FIM risk standards including providing input to support periodic Due Diligence Reviews on our FIMs / FIM ECs. The opportunity will give you the chance to work within a dynamic team, covering a young but fast growing client segment from across the globe and with global reach. Based on the triangular relationship between UBS/FIM/FIM EC you will be able to challenge yourself to maneuver within a business segment of higher complexity and institutional characteristics. Additionally, as appropriate, you may be actively involved to provide on-the-job training for and supervision of junior staff. Lastly, you will participate in the teams recurring weekly meetings with focus business updates and change management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the Hub team in their task of 'Service Excellent' on a daily basis to our FIMs to grow share-of-wallet (SoW)
· Interact daily with internal and external clients/stakeholders
· Follow and adhere to the UBS code of ethics, UBS policies and impersonate UBS Principals and Behaviors
Main tasks:
· Support the On-boarding of new FIMs (setting-up required documentation and codifying the relevant aspects in internal systems such as iCAWB.
· Account Opening/closing of FIM EC relationships
· Executions of trades (Equities, Fixed Income, Funds, Foreign Exchange, Structured Products etc.)
· Executions of payments
· Deal with FIMs'/ FIM ECs' / Stakeholders' inquiries
· Support the calculation and execution of quarterly remuneration payments to FIMs
· Support the periodic Due Diligence Review in cooperation with the Account Manager, Business Developer and Business Management
· Participate in Hub's weekly meetings for review of existing business relationships, new growth opportunities and provide input for change management (as maybe appropriate)
· Apply the UBS risk management standards and the GFIM Governance and Control Framework
Requirements
· Passed HKSI Paper I
· Several years of working experience in the Financial Services Industry (preferably in Wealth Management and/or Asset Management), knowledge of / exposure to the Financial Intermediary / External Asset Manager segment
· Team Player
· Good organization skills, high level of drive and commitment, able to work under pressure, ability to multi-task and manage complexity, open minded and capable of learning new things swiftly
· Fluency in Mandarin is a plus
