UBS is interested in exploring business disruption impact of smart contracts and distributed ledger
technologies. We are looking to form an agile center of excellence team dedicated to this task. Such a team
would need to combine business analysis, technology subject matter expertise and programme management
skills, and would be based in UBS's recently announced UK innovation center, part of Europe's largest FinTech
innovation community.

The team will work in close collaboration with existing group wide technology market research, R&D and
innovation teams, as well as with line of business teams in UBS's investment banking, retail and corporate
banking, wealth management and asset management divisions. It will be responsible for researching relevant
emerging technologies as well as new business models unlocked by them, educating UBS's staff on their
merits and running campaigns to discover internal transformation opportunities. The team would then work
with lines of business to elaborate on proposed ideas, quantify their benefits and if successful help build out concrete investment business cases.

We are looking for incredible individuals who are passionate about finance, technology and the opportunities
that smart contracts and distributed ledger technologies present; able to extract innovation insights from an
alchemy of technology and business fusion and want to apply their sense of wonder to discover new ways to
manage finance.

The technology expert, guided by and reporting into programme lead within Group CTO function, will work
with the programme manager, business analyst and bank's shared services to discover smart contracts
and distributed ledger technologies, evaluate them as platforms, prototype on them a multitude of financial
instruments as smart contracts , help educate the rest of the banks developer community on their merits, and
work with the wider Crypto 2.0 FinTech community to learn and give back.

Some of the tasks an individual will be expected to perform are:

· work with the Group CTO Research Services and Applied Innovation to discover and evaluate Crypto
2.0 technologies

· work with the business analyst and line of business subject matter experts to ideate new business
models and prototype supporting smart contracts

· collaborate with the FinTech community by attending events like hackathons to both learn the
technology and feedback requirements and our insights

Requirements:

The individual should posses and be able to demonstrate the following traits

· be a highly experienced technologist, combining both developer and architect skills

· ideally experience with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple etc.

· be comfortable coding in any language and be able to deal with next to zero business requirements

· have exprience of quickly prototyping solutions and proofs of concept using agile methodologies

· have an understanding and be excited by the possible business benefits that smart contracts and
distributed ledger technologies present

· have experience of developing highly distributed and resilient enterprise systems that meet
compliance, regulation, security and risk requirements

· Interested in the underlying technology

· have experience of working within large financial institutions

· have awareness of both the smart contracts and distributed ledger vendors and emerging business
models

· have experience of developing on a cross section of blockchain and smart contract platforms

· have experience of coding existing financial instrument flows

· have lateral thinking and ability to come up with innovative business models

· be a highly organised self-motivator and a team player with an eye for detail and people influencing
skills

· Good Communication Skill

· Interested in researching.

· have tenacity to create and maintain momentum
