Description

Group Operational Finance is responsible for the financial and management accounting for all divisions and ensures complete, correct and auditable reporting for all external regulatory and statutory bodies as well as for internal partners.

The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accounting records of the business unit are accurate and complete, and that the financial information is reported in a timely manner, reconciled, plausible, and auditable.

Key areas:
• Fee charging
• Regulatory Reporting (FINMA and FMA)
• Group Consolidation GCRS
• Swiss National Bank Reporting
• Financial Statements Swiss Gap
• CTB / RTB
• VAT and Swiss TAX Returns
• Payments in e-banking to clients for (death cases, surrenders, partial surrenders)
• Special Reporting's on Policies
• Premium bookings in a special tool
• Trading on the Swiss Exchange
• Accounts payables

Key Responsibilities
• Accounting and closing of UBS Subsidiaries
• Data delivery from the local Ledger - system to the central UBS data
management systems
• Plausibility checks, daily and monthly analysis and reconciliations,
reviews and detailed variance analysis and commentary
• Collaboration and support for closing and daily business including
deputation
• Tax accounting and returns
• Active involvement in Accounting Projects
• Development of process enhancements for more effectiveness and
efficiency
• Liaise with Wealth Management Consultants

Key requirements:
• Degree in Finance (or similar)
• 3+ years working experience in financial accounting / reporting
and / or controlling environment
• Strong analytical and communication skills (written & verbal)
• Hands-on mentality with attention to detail
• Fluent in German and English (verbal and written)
• Excellent MS office & IT skills
