UBS is actively recruiting for a Collateral Specialist to join our Nashville Business Solutions Center. This individual will monitor all initial customer transactions in cash and margin accounts are properly settled within applicable regulatory and firm guidelines.

Margin Accounts that utilize credit (margin loans) to purchase and hold securities are monitored to ensure accurate settlement of initial transactions and that they maintain sufficient collateral to subsequently maintain resulting loan balances in the account.

REG U lending is monitored by reviewing collateral values and related deficiencies in a similar manner as the process associated with Margin (Reg T) loans.
Compliance with all regulatory and firm requirements governing settlement of Futures transactions. The main focus is the issuance and collection of Exchange and/or firm initial and maintenance requirements.

Key Skills –
•4 year college degree in finance/ accounting / economics preferred
•Financial Services Operations experience
•2 years Margin Operations experience
• Knowledge of Strategy Margin, RegT, REGU and FINRA rule 4210.
•Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
•Proficient in PC skills (word processing / spreadsheets)
•Strong organizational skills, concern for quality & accuracy
•Ability to work well under pressure and ability to multitask
Ability to recalculate accounts for charges and releases based on questions from branch offices.
•Professional and proactive approach to work

Key Targets & Objectives:
•Adding value to the client /branch by providing guidance on accounts with violations and calls
•Performing review of all violations /calls to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
•Following up/escalate open items to ensure resolution
•Identifying conditions that create erroneous violations/calls and propose solutions for resolution
