2016 Intern Program, IT Application Adoption Factory

A 6 months internship is the ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most successful people within Financial Services IT. From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about Financial Services IT from top to bottom, you’ll also experience the unique workplace culture of UBS.
Support to build up and run the application adoption factory (AAF). The factory will ensure large scale application end of life remediation and migrations to standard infrastructure platforms (IaaS and DBaaS). Where possible efforts will be aligned with DC exits.
Your main tasks will include:
- Support the Program Management by managing the relevant KPI's.
- Build of an central KPI database to track all of the efforts.
- Coordinate and support planning and review sessions.
- Track application remediation's and ensure appropriate planning with the different SMEs.

Desired profile

• At least 4 semesters completed at a University or a University of Applied Sciences preferably in IT Economy (Wirtschaftsinformatik) or in a related field
• IT skills: Basic office tools
• Very good command of English and German
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues at all levels in the organisation. Ability to explain technical topics clearly and intuitively, both written and orally
• Team spirit, interpersonal skills, flexible personality and ability to cope with adversity, pressure and multi-tasking
• Pro-active working approach, ‘can-do’ attitude, ability to work under pressure
• Creative thinking
