A 6 month internship is the ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience the unique workplace culture of UBS.
We are looking for a driven and analytical Intern to join our successful Short Term Interest Rates (STIR) trading group based in Zurich.
During the Internship you will:
- Experience a range of rates and credit products
- Spend time with several Sales and Trading Desks on the R&C
- FX Trading Floor
- Book and report deals and therefore liaise with traders and clients
- Learn to trade OIS, FRA, Short IRS and FX Forwards in a team that also trades repo and money markets products

Desired profile

Your Profile:
• At least 4 semesters completed at a University or a University of Applied Science
• Languages: fluency in English required; German advisable; other languages would be an asset
• Motivation and strong interest in financial markets
• Good overall IT skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong self-motivated work ethic
• Ability to thrive under pressure
• Flexible and innovative mind set
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Open-minded, direct personality which includes the willing to work in an established team and adapt to environment
