Job description
A 6 months internship is the ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about Financial Services IT from top to bottom, you’ll also experience the unique workplace culture of UBS.
Global Production Services (GPS) is supporting the majority of bank critical applications. The Strategic Implementation Team is responsible to get strategic changes done in GPS. Recently the team implemented an On/Offboarding Standard in GPS. A new tool based on SharePoint 2013 has been developed. A lot of users are not very familiar with the tool and process. A next Information campaign has to push the Organization to a next maturity level.
Your main tasks will include:
- Create quick reference guides and maintain User manual
- Create templates for On/Offboarding
- Collect and prepare tool requirements – work with Regional SPOCs and Service Management Lead
- Enable KPI's / usage reports and publish new reports
- Communicate to user community with news and updates in regards to On/Offboarding changes
As a second area the Idea Drop Box Project needs a communication campaign as well. Idea Drop Box has a focus on pain points in several IT support units. A structured communication should enable solution sharing as well as gathering of initiatives to be scope for further investigation.
Your main tasks will include:
- Build structure communication campaign
- Hosting Idea Drop Box repository on SharePoint
- Work with solution provider to get communication content and distribute to the target user group
- Report on progress and success – create success story article
- Support the Stability Program in communication tasks
Desired profile
• At least 4 semesters completed at a University or a University of Applied Sciences preferably in IT Economy (Wirtschaftsinformatik) or in a related field
• IT skills: Process Analytics, basic IT knowledge, MS Office Products
• Very good command of English
• Good social & communication skills.
• Cooperativeness and team-orientation, while able to complete tasks independently with a high quality standard
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues at all levels in the organisation. Ability to explain technical topics clearly and intuitively, both written and orally
•Team spirit, interpersonal skills, flexible personality and ability to cope with adversity, pressure and multi-tasking
• Pro-active working approach, ‘can-do’ attitude, ability to work under pressure
