Job Title:- 2D UI artist

**Note**: Final Designation/Level will be decided based on the relevant experience and interview ratings.

As a 2D UI artist for mobile, you will be responsible to work with the production/Live operations team for our Rocksmith brand. Rocksmith® is a music video game committed on teaching millions of people how to play guitar and bass. With a song library of over 1,500 songs and 9 years of support the Rocksmith franchise helped millions of players around the world on their musical journey

Working in Pune Studio, as part of the Mobile Studio Leadership with the Product Manager, The user interface artist is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of UI assets for a game and application  This person works under the supervision of the art director, producer, and game designers to create interfaces that are graphically interesting, but also intuitive and player friendly.

Job Description:

·       Work with designers to determine the functionality and features of the UI and translate high-level gameplay ideas into visually functional UI designs.

·       Understand existing game art pipeline prosses and game engine

·       Based on wireframe, must design the mockups, that should match to existing UI style

·       Co-ordination with the programmer for the UI Asset integration, need to provide assets to programmer 

·       Assure that game information is well conveyed through various user interfaces.

·       Work closely with the programming team and technical artist to implement assets into the game and verify the quality of the graphics once implemented.

·       Keep control of assets production, respecting technical constraints and optimization guidelines.

·       Communicate ideas & concepts with teams and stakeholders.

·       Submitting art assets in game folder with correct naming convention an standard.

·       Work with the lead artist and game designer to develop, explore and style the games user interface and develop icons, buttons, frames and panels etc.

·       Create user interface concepts and motion graphics to demonstrate transitions and interactions as well as execute them within the game engine.

·       Explore and assemble visual material to define and improve the visual style of the game.

·       Solve problems effectively and creatively with an ability to scale quality when time or deadlines require it.

·       Collaborate closely with UX designer to iterate and consider the gameplay implications of the design and the overall player experience.

Required Skills/Qualification

·       3-4 years of experience in the gaming industry, specializing in the creation of interfaces and in menu design.

·       Experience working in game interfaces on at least 1 AAA game preferred

·       Create style guides, benchmark assets, and have the ability to provide clear feedback.

·       Very good feeling for composition, color and typography.

·       You develop concepts and the design of the game menus and user interfaces.

·       Cooperation with Game Designer, technical artist, Art direction, Game Design and Programming for designing the user interfaces of our games.

·       Apply and maintain a consistent art style throughout the entire project interface as well as an understanding of current trends in the best Social Games.

·       An understanding of UI conventions and challenges for different platforms, including console, PC, mobile, and browser.

·       Expertise with Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, adobe xd and Adobe Suite 

·       Very good sense for Motion design / Motion graphics.

·       Understand art pipelines and technical art requirements.

·       Experience collaborating with UX Designers to solve problems at a wireframe level.

·       Possess a combination of creative and technical skills, to create and integrate UI assets into the game through our tools and pipeline

·       Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
