Job description

About Uber

We’re changing the way people think about transportation. Not that long ago we were just an app to request premium black cars in a few metropolitan areas. Now we’re a part of the logistical fabric of more than 600 cities around the world. Whether it’s a ride, a sandwich, or a package, we use technology to give people what they want, when they want it.

For the people who drive with Uber, our app represents a flexible new way to earn money. For cities, we help strengthen local economies, improve access to transportation, and make streets safer.

And that’s just what we’re doing today. We’re thinking about the future, too. With teams working on autonomous trucking and self-driving cars, we’re in for the long haul. We’re reimagining how people and things move from one place to the next.

About the Role

UberEATS delivers the best of your city right when you want it. Our curated menus feature dishes from the local spots you love and the ones you’ve always wanted to try. It’s the same cashless payment as an Uber ride. So just tap the app, get your food delivered right to your doorstep and enjoy!

This is an intense business side startup role, and you will work with the UberEATS operations teams along with headquarters-based engineering, product, and process teams. You will have direct responsibility for the growth of the UberEATS business across Europe.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

·  The Strategy & Planning analyst will champion high priority projects across the region. This role will provide hands-on leadership to help design, prioritize, and implement projects to help this fast growing region scale.
·  Set strategic priorities, translate them in concrete projects & work closely with teams across the region to deliver on execution at its highest potential
·  Analytics while remaining pragmatic: interested in working on huge data sets and cutting through irrelevant distractions to the heart of core data questions, yet always stay pragmatic by keeping in mind the local context and on-the-ground realities.
·  Humble & hands-on approach: Don’t be afraid to go into the details or take on very local projects when it will clear roadblocks
·  Collaborate with different GMs and their teams to understand their local projects, gathering best practices and drive knowledge sharing
·  Drive analysis on regional projects and important strategic decisions
·  Develop analytical frameworks to support the company in new markets and products
·  Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep local teams as efficient as possible
