Job description
The Logistics Coordinator will work alongside the UK Logistics Team Leader to ensure that all school teams receive the correct standard of equipment within agreed time frames, in line with customer expectations.
What You Will Be Doing:

Coordinating the Logistical planning: comparing the kit requirements to stock held and acting upon any shortfall. Managing special movement equipment requests

Organising the day to day logistics activities both proactively and reactively, in line with the UK Logistics Team Leaders guidance

Warehouse: To receipt, issue, store, despatch and clean/service equipment held within the Logistics department

Customer: Utilise the internal stock management/inventory IT system, creating Customer contracts & utilising current/past data to review equipment purchases

Procurement: Procure Medical and Outdoor equipment while adhering to company policy

Stocktaking: Maintain accurate stock records and conduct/record monthly stock checks in line with company policy

Filing: Purchase orders, invoices and courier notes. Updating budget spread sheet

Servicing: Maintain service records for head wear, buoyancy aids and climbing equipment, while liaising with the Technical advisor.

Driving duties: UK, Ireland and Europe, to make deliveries and collections of Expedition equipment (As required)

Communications equipment: maintaining security, storage, serviceability of satellite phones and PLB’s

Fleet admin: Coordinate & manage the allocation of vehicles and ensure compliance with current legislation

Coordinate building maintenance and contract cleaning

Assist with the building H&S, fire and security, through making sure policies are adhered to by all staff. Updates to be actioned in a timely manner.

Contribute towards department and company KPI’s

Although no direct line management responsibility of staff, the Logistics Coordinator will assume the responsibilities of the UK Logistics Team Leader during periods of annual leave, etc. The Logistics Coordinator will also be the main point of contact for the Logistics & Facilities Assistant on a daily basis.
What We Are Looking For:

A full driving licence, valid to drive in the UK

Excellent communication skills: verbal and written

Effective self-organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with a proactive nature. Ability to stay calm under pressure if a complex situation arises

A meticulous attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records

Capable of maintaining good internal and external customer relations
-
Ability and willingness to learn new skills
- Flexible on working hours
