Tredegar Film Products, a subsidiary of Tredegar Corporation, is one of the top global leaders in the plastic films industry, present in all continents. The company’s headquarters are located in Richmond, Virginia, USA. The range of our products include film for diapers, adult incontinence products, feminine hygiene products, food packaging, surface protection and agriculture. In Kerkrade, Tredegar Film Products mainly produces perforated elastic films for hygiene products with approximately 100 FTEs.

HR MANAGER (1 FTE)
Job description
You report to the Director Global HR, are a member of the Local Leadership Team and have 2 direct reports.
As the HR Manager, you fill the role of HR Business Partner to the Site Manager and provide advice, counseling and support to the entire local Management Team.
You are responsible for, but not limited to, managing the HR department and supporting Global HR Management in the development and implementation of the operational, tactical and strategic HR policy at local and international level.
The goal is to achieve an efficient work environment and organizational structure such that there is an environment to attract, retain and develop qualified employees. Together with the Management Team you ensure engagement, satisfaction, motivation, welfare and development of staff so that targets will be achieved. Together with the Site Manager you represent the organization in negotiations with the works council and unions.
Skills and expertise
The ideal candidate has a master or bachelor degree in business science, HR or related discipline, combined with at least 7 years of experience as HR Manager and advanced understanding of relevant legislation and rules.
You are impactful through excellent consulting, coaching, facilitation and negotiation skills. Are able to learn, manage and continuously improve core HR processes in talent management, total rewards, cultural change & engagement as well as organizational transformation. You have the ability to contribute and add value to the wider business.
You have experience in a manufacturing environment and have experience in dealing with Works Councils/Industrial relations and have knowledge/hands on experience with a HR transformation journey.
You are willing to continuously learn about key business and people data and able to translate this into comprehensive and concise information and advice for management.
Proficiency in the English language is a must combined with good overall business communication skills.
You have also the ability to work in a matrix organization is important in this role.
You should note that there will be travel occasionally outside the region with this role.
